“Instead of fighting your problems, picture your way out of them.” ~ Vernon Howard
Reprogramming your way of thinking can be difficult, but it can be done with diligence and patience. If you beat up on yourself and feed your mind with negativism and disrespect, here’s a little exercise I want you to get started on today at your convenience. You need a large mirror.
You need a large mirror.
You need to step in front of the mirror.
Look at yourself in the mirror and study the subject, YOU. Notice your posture, your demeanor. Are your shoulders slumping? If so, then roll your shoulders back and stick that chest out.
Notice your posture, your demeanor. Are your shoulders slumping? If so, then roll them back and stick that chest out. Are you smiling? If not, put a smile on your face. Come on; you can do it! There you go. Now, say to yourself I’m __________________________ and I am beautiful, pretty/handsome and worthy of living a happy, prosperous, and healthy life full of love.
Say this at least six times to yourself three times a day. By all means you don’t have to follow a script, make your own up. The point here is to say it and mean it. “Believing is achieving” and “what you perceive is what you see.” Step number three is the act of goal setting and requests a sound mind with realistic outcomes. Sounds trifle, I know, but it is essential if you are going to accomplish your desired weight or any goal for that matter.
